I have been following the boy band Super Junior for a few years, and have been supportive of their activities and promotions.
2 months ago, Kim Hee Chul have just been released from the army in Korea after 2 years of service. To my surprise, his first overseas trip right after he ended his service was Singapore.
Excitedly, his fans including me followed him around Singapore.
As Kim Hee Chul was staying in a hotel in Sentosa, he decided to visit the Universal Studios.
With shades on, he walked from his hotel to the Universal Studios. There was a huge crowd following him, and as we walked towards out destination, many tourists and passerby asked some of us who were we following.
Screams and cheers were everywhere. It was tough following him due to the large crowd and humid weather. My pair of Jeffrey Campbell even got damaged in the process. Everyone were pushing each other, screaming, sweating and taking pictures. Being surrounded by us, I don't know how his nose survived that ordeal.
As Kim Hee Chul walked out after buying his express tickets, I was luckily standing right at the exit which explains why this photo of him was clear and near. I quickly snapped photos. With my photography skills, I think I could be the next Jay Maisel.
The whole journey was tiring, but it was amazing. I got to see who I wanted to see and at the same time enjoy the time I spent with my friends who were also his fans. I hope to see my favorite boy band soon. Meanwhile, I have learnt how to work with a camera correctly.... and not to wear Jeffrey Campbell next time.
