My Guardian

My House Maid 

My house maid is an important person in my life, she is just like a my elder sister. Everyday, she looks after the house chores, a great help of my family. She always work diligently and never complains. She have been working for 6 years with my family. She is from Indonesia, aged 27 years old, her family and spouse lived in indonesia and sometimes she will become disappointed to remember her family. Whenever she goes back to her country, we would miss her a lot. In fact, she has become a part of our family member. Hence, I decided to draw a portrait of her. 
She have a perfect facial features, dark complexion, healthy skin and big eyes. I decided to use the dotting method using a sketching pen and dot my way through this entire portrait, to create a nice gradient effect on the toning and shadowing. It took me a night to complete this portrait, and it was quite challenging to keep dotting all the way as my hands would get tired easily. 

However, all my hard work has paid off seeing the final result of my art piece. I gave her as a token of appreciation for her constant guidance and care for our family. She couldn’t be more proud!
